Chateau de la Goujeonnerie

The Chateau de la Goujeonnerie was bought 7 years ago by the three owners of the internationally acclaimed London restaurant, Les Trois Garcons. It has been completely renovated to a very high standard with big spacious bedrooms and excellent bathrooms, both in the chateau itself and in the adjacent annexe.

The owners are keen antique collectors and have decorated and furnished the Chateau in their own, inimitable style, making it elegant but fun and funky. There are a myriad of comfortable sitting rooms and several dining rooms, including an amazing mirrored formal dining room, along with a big reception room that can be converted into a disco complete with lights, smoke machines and decks…perfect for celebrations or weddings.

The park covers several hectares of land and picnics can be arranged in the meadows and woods below the chateau. The French countryside stretches out on every side affording wonderful views. This is French provincial living, with lots of local villages nearby and the Atlantic beaches, including the Ile de Ré, within easy reach for a delicious seafood lunch or a spot of kite surfing.

The Chateau would make a wonderful wedding venue; a wedding planner would be required and can be arranged.
