Casa Negra is set into the hillside overlooking the breathtaking bay of La Herradura and boasts year-round sunsets and stunning 180-degree views from every room – of the bay, the village, the Mediterranean and  the mountains.

Terraces span the entire property, which includes an emerald-green infinity pool that makes you feel like you’re floating above the sea.

A large, wide entrance and hallway lead you down to the main open-plan dining room and kitchen, and to more stunning views.

The three upper bedroom suites offer black marble bathrooms and rainfall showers. The beds are emperor, super king and king. Two further bedrooms on the garden level share another large black marble bathroom with a rainfall shower. All have terraces overlooking the bay.

A smart system operates throughout the property controlling lighting, sun and blackout blinds, air conditioning, heating, pergolas, underfloor heating and electronics.

The garden’s jungle-like plants add a tropical feel. There are large olive trees and a tropical fruit orchard with mangos, lemons, limes, mulberries, pomegranates, grapefruit and mandarins… to name but a few.

The kitchen garden, meanwhile, offers any budding chef a wide array of herbs, including chilies, basil, lemongrass, rocket and citrus caviar.

The large open spaces and terraces of the house lend themselves to socialising and entertaining. And the dark manganese exterior mixed with concreate would not look out of place in the Hollywood Hills.

One thing’s for sure, Casa Negra would be a wonderful house for parties or for hosting bespoke events.

There’s a definite air of James Bond lair to this startling, contemporary house.
