The Dolomites’ bizarre rock formations and distinctive jagged peaks extend across 150km from the Piave Valley in the east to the River Adige in the west, with the highest peak reaching 3,334m.
Alta Badia is a bit of a best-kept secret with those in the know returning every year. It offers 130km of slopes up to 2,700m high, cutting-edge cable cars and lifts, and entry to the famous Sellaronda ski circuit.
The Dolomites are also fantastic in the summer months for cycling and hiking, and combine well with Lake Garda or with Venice and Verona.
