This enchanting house is set in the middle of forest of the Landes area of France, only few minutes from the typical Landes village of Magescq. Besides its small shops it’s the home of the oldest French 2 Michelin stars restaurant and Spa, “Le Relais de la Poste”. The village is well known for having the best baker and best butcher of the whole area. The best fish and shells shop “chez Vincent” is 15mins away in the picturesque village of Léon. The villa “Landriou” is only a short drive from Dax, Bayonne and Biarritz … should need be.

Lovingly restored by its French owners, keeping it true to its traditional roots with Landaise brick walls, wooden beams, all supplemented by big picture windows opening onto the garden. The house has recently featured 11 pages in Art Deco magazine.

The interiors are cosy and quirky with a chic, boho French look. There is large living area, a spacious kitchen and a mezzanine, housing a comfortable TV corner. Three of the bedrooms are on the ground floor and a ‘dormitory’ containing a double bed and two twin beds, on the first floor.

The outside barn has been amusingly transformed into a tradition French bistro area, typical of the Basque region, with a zinc top bar and bar stools.. great fun for summer evenings.
