Originally designed in 1941 by Henry Jacques Le Même, the visionary architect credited with shaping Megève’s distinct Alpine identity, Le Sarto embodies a rare architectural lineage. Rather than erase its history, the recent Iconic House reinvention celebrates it. Every corner whispers of heritage: bold Art Deco geometry, carefully sourced woodwork and ornamental details that bridge past and present. In a quiet corridor, a gallery dedicated to Le Même holds fragments of his legacy, an elegant nod that feels almost like visiting a private museum.
Step inside and the chalet unfolds like a lived-in gallery. Deep tones and sculptural flourishes play alongside contemporary comforts. Each of the eight beautifully proportioned bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, as well as the whimsical children’s dormitory, feels intimate yet refined, tailored for family gatherings or a group of close friends sharing snow-dusted days.
Shared spaces are generous yet grounded in a sense of place: a vast living room warmed by flickering firelight, a professional kitchen poised for convivial breakfasts and long dinners, and corners that invite lounging with a book or a glass of something rich and amber.
