Deia is one of those special Mediterranean places where artists, writers and celebrities seek refuge. Its restaurants, boutiques, cafes and bars reflect the taste of its bohemian yet discerning clientèle.

The house, situated in a quiet cul-de-sac in the centre of the village and hidden from tourists and traffic, is the perfect retreat for those who want to escape, be inconspicuous and avoid using a car. It is next door to the world-famous Belmond La Residencia hotel.

Lovely Cala Deia and its much-loved restaurant Ca’s Patro March is within walking distance for the fit and hearty (20 minutes and steep on the way back).

A beautifully built finca with views over the village roofs to the mountains and the sea, the villa combines the best of the past with the luxury of the present.

It has been recently refurbished with the very best light linens, bespoke cushions and elegant furnishings, and offers a large living area with an open fireplace, a dining area and a fully-equipped kitchen, as well as a separate sitting/TV room and a study.

With two master bedrooms and a twin room, it’s ideal for one family or two families with young children.

The well-lit garden and pool, with loggia, pergolas and fruit trees, is a haven of tranquillity and coolness. There are various places to enjoy al-fresco dining. The loggia overlooking the central courtyard is ideal for breakfast, the pool area is great for lunch in the shade of the pergola, and the wisteria-covered pergola on the front terrace is perfect for evening drinks or dinner while enjoying the views of Deia village, the sea and the sunsets.

This pretty and very well run house is right in the centre of Deia, behind the word-famous Belmond La Residencia hotel.
