An attractive, contemporary house situated in a quiet ‘impasse’ in a leafy residential area of Lacanau-Ocean and within easy walking or cycling distance of the village and the beaches.

The house has been sympathetically renovated with a cool, open plan feel. Set over two levels the sitting room is double height with two mezzanine half floors offering good office space for those needing to work during the holidays (good WiFi). This area has masses of comfortable sofa space and a precious grand piano for competent piano players only.

The well-equipped kitchen and dining room are down on the garden level and there is a good wooden deck with outdoor dining space set by the pool, along with sunbeds and a large parasol.

The bedrooms are set over two floors making this an ideal house for two small families.

This is a really good house for families with teenagers who can come and go as they please and enjoy the beaches (all with lifeguards) and the fun of Lacanau-Ocean village, where there is some ’nightlife’ and plenty of café life.

A great destination for those loving active holidays with everything from surfing to sailing, cycling (there is a long cycle path all the way down to Cap Ferret), three excellent golf courses, riding, all manner of water sports and of course some excellent places to eat.

Within easy distance of elegant Bordeaux, there are also a myriad of vineyards to visit – in the Medoc area nearby, and beyond – and indeed the city itself with all its heritage and culture, perhaps one of the most beautiful in France.
